Woowwww…Finally i did it..I can’t believe it….Hold on Hold On I am explaining it.

It’s related to my final semester project.I am doing it in Elitecore (p) Limited.It is a product company where I am working on a live project.

One module of my project includes the use of Java Message Service.
I am using Apache-ActiveMQ 5.3.0 as JMS Provider.
The thing is when I execute demo code it was giving proper output.
But when I integrated it with product code it failed like anything.
I was not at all receiving any message at receiver end.It was a serious issue.
And today i found solution it waS because I din’t close consumer and producer after use.
So queue got overloaded due to listening of many consumers on it.
I also made object ‘null’ after use because memory was also an issue.
I thought let GC collect all garbage.!!!
So moral of the story close/make it null (after use)whatever object you use in
any OOP language.!!!
Help GC to do its task..

Moreover if you have any issue related to JMS+ActiveMQ post it in comment.If I have already come across such kind of problem ,I can suggest some solution.

The value of any Javascript variable can not be used in JSP scriptlets as JSP is not able to recognise those variable.

However you can use JSP scriplets in Javascripts.

For Example:

function jspAlert()

{

<% int a=10; %>

window.alert(<% out.println(a); %>;

}

call this function on “onLoad” event and you will get an alert box showing “10″ in it.

But you can’t do like below:

<%out.println(%> document.getElementById(“txt”).value <%);%>

(assuming “txt” is an id of an textbox..)

this will throw an error..

I hope you are getting me..i know it’s confusing…

so i will end post with one more Confusing line:

“One can use JSP scriplets in Javascript  BUT one can not use Javascript in JSP scriplets”….!!!!!!

i will post some more confusing facts that i am facing…hahahaha

while building my project using Ant build from build.Xml i was getting following warnings..

“Struts.Xml modified in the future.”

“XYZ(Any resource which is to be compiled ..mostly .java files)  modified in the future.”

i seriously could n’t understand error..nt even in terms of language..it was past tense in the future..!!!

but then i google for the error and was able to find the solution..

These warning can arise if you have problem in your SYSTEM CLOCK..!!!how insane..!!!

it was true my system clock was not working..everytime i restart the lappy the time was set in the past..so it was showing these warnings.You just can’t ignore these warnings because then it uses the old file according to the time when you run your application.

Solution is pretty simple…set your clock everytime..if you dont want to set it to the correct time then also please set it in the future when you are still left to work…!!!!i just shifted my clock (rather calendar!!) one WEEK ahead and the warnings were gone…error was gone…and it was all working..!!!

But these  warnings took my whole noon session..!!yeah yeah about 2 hrs…and gave me a lot of frustration during that time..!!!so sometimes CLOCK CAN WASTE YOUR TIME…!!!!!

but finally i made it…  m kewl again…gonna work tomorrow also..gonna face some new errors and desperately wants to find solution for those..!!i m loving it…

the reason why i am writing this code is very different…

I was able to send/receieve msg in my code…i am using smslib API…

the same code i was trying to use within my applet’s button action-performed event….

but it was throwing exception…

which was…

“name can’t be null while loading driver com.sun.comm.Win32Driver”

and

“NoSuchPort Exception”for comm.jar…

Finally i came to know the reason…the applet security configuration prevent it to open serial port connection…

so for that thing i have to add a line in the init() method of my applet….

“System.setSecurityManager(null);”

now it’s working fine…

bye for now….has to complete the work…getting late…

better is that you make batch file of these command and execute it everytime….

Than set your debugging configuration from eclipse such that it listens to port 5050 as Tomcat is working on that(here)…

To set Debug Configurations, Go to Run–>Debug Configurations–>Remote Java Application

mention the port 5050 and server address…possibly local-host(during web-development)…also mention the project name in it.

than press debug …now you can debug your project(may be Web-Project.)

but don’t forget to set breakpoint in to your server code….!!!!

this will maintain this much pixels for the tag in which its specified…

so now if you provide width in percentage  than also it will not mess up the layout while stretching/reducing size through mouse dragging ….

and yes Dreamweaver is also very helpful for UI design..!!!

firstly from the <s:url …/> tag url will be generated which will point to the editTrip action in the namespace “trxp”.

now <s:a…></s:a> will create the link which will hold the url generated by <s:url> tag as it’s id is mentioned in <s:a> tag..

The impotant thing is that it will work fine in any theme.

but Ajax theme is experimental …so it soes not work under theme=”AJAX”….

so i found the way how one can stay on the same page..

write following code in the Struts.xml

so now it will perform the action “tripaction” and if Class file(execute fun) returns string “updatetrip” than it will remain on the same page…

status 204 in httpheader tells browser that there is “no content” means no Response of this action…
